Do you want to cut your water and energy costs but still feel plenty of joy and comfort in the shower and when washing your hands? Use our water savings calculator to figure out how much you can save with hansgrohe EcoSmart and CoolStart technologies.
The usage phase of a hand shower is by far the most CO2-intensive. Around 1,000 times more CO2 is emitted here than during the manufacturing process. We have therefore made it our mission to design sustainable product solutions that combine water- and energy-saving technologies such as EcoSmart and CoolStart with sensational moments with water. We want to protect people, the environment, and our planet, as this is at the core of our brand’s DNA.
Save precious resources while still experiencing joy and comfort in the shower with a sustainable hansgrohe invention. The secret lies in EcoSmart technology, which uses up to 40 percent less water than standard hansgrohe shower heads. Water is saved, so less heating energy is required, so your gas and electricity bills may also go down.
Where can we save energy, how do we send less CO2 into the atmosphere, what can we do to combat climate change? These are questions that concern us all. The best approach is to find solutions for the energy consumers in our home that we use several times a day. Basin taps, for example. The hansgrohe CoolStart concept is as simple as it is ingenious: Warm or hot water will only flow out of these taps when it is actually needed. You only use the energy when you actively turn the lever handle to the left.
As part of the Hansgrohe Group, sustainable thinking and actions are at the hansgrohe brand’s core. As such, many of our products are fitted with resource-saving technologies. And we have been doing this since the 1980s, when we were one of the industry’s first manufacturers to bring out a water-saving hand shower.
The usage phase of a hand shower is by far the most CO2-intensive. Around 1,000 times more CO2 is emitted here than during the manufacturing process. We have therefore made it our mission to convert our entire portfolio of showers and taps to “Eco” by 2030.
In specific terms, this means the reduction of the water and/or energy consumption of water-bearing products in usage by at least 22 percent compared to 2020 (the base year).
* The Hansgrohe Group defines “Eco” as the reduction of the water and/or energy consumption of water-bearing products in usage by at least 22 percent compared to 2020 (the base year)
